Robbed at Maryland Sheep Festival....

Posted by Lewis White on

Thank you to all our customers and friends!  It's always a rush of stress and worry getting ready for the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival.  Somehow, when I get there and visit with everyone it's all worth it.  After a hectic day, I call home and tell Mrs. Little Barn who I saw or talked to, what's new in their lives or that I saw someone we hadn't spoken with in ages.....I answer a thousand questions as she calls the roll of names......people we have known from festivals all over the eastern U.S.......then we discuss what folks are doing with our products, a finished item I saw, something brand new from the amazing craftsmen that vend the show.....this is what keeps us coming to the festival. It means so much.

But along with the sweet comes the sour.  We've heard about it happening to other vendors over the years but never imagined we would get to experience it first hand.  Saturday night I was robbed in the parking lot behind the main building of the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival. I would like to express my appreciation to the Frederick police dept for their quick response and continued help.  I want to thank the festival committee, Larry, the vendors and customers who offered help and everyone who stopped by Sunday to simply say "I'm so sorry".  It is really shocking & disappointing  that someone would wait outside a building at a Wool Festival just to rob another person.  More important than anything else.......lets all learn from this.  Please, please customers & friends.......when you are out, be aware of your surroundings.  Just because it is a family friendly event doesn't mean bad things can't happen.  Don't go to your car alone.  Stay in a group or with a buddy.

If you purchased from us Saturday at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival and wrote a check, please contact us by email or phone.
